Outside the station..."Laying down the original Erie mainline rail stamped Scranton 1886" This rail was the original mainline Otisville Depot rail in 1886, prior to the Otisville tunnel being constructed. Buried and forgotten for decades this rail was rediscovered, restored and reconstructed in memory of my Greatgrandfather and Erie trainman George McMullen who died in a rear end collision just west of Otisville, NY in 1888.
